Fuel

Aurora’s ecological fuel is made from clean wooden sawdust, carefully sourced from selected sawmills in the Czech Republic.

Containing no pollutants, halogens or heavy metals, this smokeless fuel retains the look and feel of natural logs and glows with a low yellow flame for about 4 hours.

But what’s even more significant is that these briquettes are three times as dense as natural wood - which means that they have longer burning properties. In fact, they have the same calorific value as coal.

Each one can burn for up to 4 hours (depending on draughts) and can be used in stoves, open fireplaces, boilers, grills and patio heaters.

As the briquette burns, it expands and glows with a clean, bright flame, emitting the lovely aroma of real wood.

Tests are conducted each year and analyses affirm that this fuel meets Czech (14/98 MZP), German (DIN 51731) and Austrian (ONORM 7135) standards

Aurora’s briquettes do not damage the environment with the side products of burning, because they generate very little ash – and what is generated makes an excellent fertilizer.

Even the polyethylene wrapper is biodegradable!

And unlike other biomass fuels, our briquettes retain the look and feel of natural logs.
